Unique features of AURATON Fornax
| ] | A unique algorithm for recording receiver operating parameters from the last 24 hours. The AURATON Fornax receiver is equipped with a unique algorithm for analyzing on/off cycles. The entire heating cycle from the last 24 hours is saved in the receiver's memory. In the event of a loss of communication with the AURATON Libra RH (transmitter), the Fornax receiver will automatically perform the memorized on/off cycle from the last 24 hours. This allows time to restore transmission (remove interference) or repair the AURATON Libra RH without significantly compromising thermal comfort in the controlled facility. |
| ^ | Cooperation with heating and air conditioning devices |
| _ | A dedicated switch makes servicing the heating device easier |
| ` | Controlling devices requiring live and voltage-free contacts. Relay switching is synchronized with the 230 V AC mains voltage so that the relay armature contacts always close and open at the zero crossing of the mains voltage. This prevents arcing and significantly increases the relay's durability. |

Choosing the right location for AURATON Libra RH

The proper operation of the AURATON Libra RH is significantly affected by its location. Siting it in a location lacking air circulation or exposed to direct sunlight may result in improper temperature control. The AURATON Libra RH should be installed on an interior wall (partition wall), in an environment with free air circulation. Avoid proximity to heat-emitting devices (TV, radiator, refrigerator) or locations exposed to direct sunlight. Proper operation may be impaired by proximity to doors, which expose the AURATON Libra RH to potential vibration.
Battery replacement
The battery compartment is located inside the AURATON Libra RH on the front of the case. To install the batteries, remove the AURATON Libra RH case as shown in the figure below:

We recommend alkaline batteries for powering AURATON controllers. Rechargeable batteries should not be used due to their low rated voltage.

The lock function using theh andr is not active if the lock code is not set.PWM operating mode
(Pulse-Width Modulation)
By changing the hysteresis settings (see the "Configuration Settings" section), you can enable PWM operation. In this mode, the AURATON Libra RH periodically switches on the heating device to minimize temperature fluctuations. The AURATON Libra RH checks the temperature rise and fall times.
Knowing these values, AURATON Libra RH turns the heating device on and off in cycles to keep the temperature as close to the set point as possible.

- Temperature
- Time
- Set temperature
- Room temperature
NOTE:
In PWM mode, the AURATON Libra RH may turn on the heating device even if the room temperature is higher than the setpoint temperature. This is due to the PWM algorithm, which aims to maintain the setpoint temperature and anticipate the heating system's behavior.Special situations
- If we lose three consecutive transmissions (after 15 minutes) from the AURATON Libra RH (transmitter), a failure will be signaled on the AURATON Fornax receiver (the LED will continuously flash alternately red and green). Until the problem is resolved, the receiver will revert to the memorized on/off cycle from the last 24 hours.
- When the signal from AURATON Libra RH returns, the error is cleared and the AURATON Fornax receiver switches to normal operation.
Additional notes
- AURATON Libra RH (transmitter) must be installed at least 1 meter from the receiver (too strong a signal from the transmitter may cause interference).
- Data is transmitted from the AURATON Libra RH (transmitter) to the AURATON Fornax receiver whenever the ambient temperature changes by 0.2°C. If the temperature does not change, the AURATON Libra RH transmits control data every 5 minutes (this is manifested by a momentary alternating change in the LED color).
- In the event of a power outage, the AURATON Fornax receiver will turn off. When power is restored, the heating device will automatically turn on, and the AURATON Fornax receiver will wait for a signal from the paired AURATON Libra RH (transmitter) for a maximum of 5 minutes after power is restored. Once the signal is received, the AURATON Fornax receiver will resume normal operation.
- Placing the AURATON Fornax receiver in a metal housing (e.g. mounting box, metal furnace housing) will interfere with the operation of the AURATON Libra RH.
- In AURATON Libra RH (transmitter) you can turn the control functions on or off at any time (e.g. after the heating season) by briefly (approx. 5 seconds) holding the button( (AURATON Libra RH will only show the current time and room temperature – no "timeline").
- The first press of any function button always turns on the backlight, and only the next press activates the key's function. When using the knob, each step keeps the backlight on.
- When programming any function, not pressing any button for 10 seconds is equivalent to pressing the button. (.
